Open all year round, Foxstone Dam is a 1.5-acre water located southeast from the Birkhill Estate in Eckington. Set in mature woodland, this lake was initially created for local colliery self supporting fishery.
Foxstone Dam is the only fishery in Derbyshire that holds a population of the UK White Clawed Crayfish. It is also home to various species of rare frogs, bream to 3.5 lbs, perch to 3 lbs, tench to 8 lbs, carp to 18 lbs and pike to 10 lbs.

What tactics work well?
Method feeder or large waggler work well for catching tench and bream. Perch respond well to red maggots.
