Located in Market Bosworth, Nuneaton, Friezland Pools is a 50-acre site that offers excellent sport to both beginners as well as the keen Carp angler. There are a total of 5 lakes which span across 20 acres.
All of the lakes boast a variety of fishing features as well as spacious pegs, many of which are accessible to the disabled and elderly angler.
Friezland Pool is the oldest and most popular spot and contains a healthy selection of Carp. Furthermore, the site is available for night fishing as well as matches.
Lower Friezland Pool is a warm pond that is popular both with pleasure and match anglers. The waters are home to variety of Bream, Tench and Carp.
Upper Friezland Pool is the most popular spot for night fishing. Additionally, the waters contain a large number of smaller and large Carp.
Pam’s Pool is the deepest lake on site, boasting a healthy stock of Chubb, Bream and Carp.
Completed in 2019, Pat’s pool presents an exciting new venue for both novices and the more dedicated angler. The waters are home to a number of Carp, Chubb and Bream.
What size do the fish go to?
Bream, Tench and Chubb tend to weigh in between 2-8lbs. Carp are frequently recorded in double figures, with larger fish reaching 20lbs.
What tactics work well?
Standard still water tactics tend to work well. Also, using a feeder with worms or sweetcorn is useful when trying to entice larger carp.
