Fishery Information
Located in Asfordby, Leicester, Frisby Water Park is a 100-acre site that offers excellent sport to the keen Carp angler. The site comprises of 2 mature gravel pits and a stretch of the River Wreake.
There are a variety of fishing features on display, such as reeds, pools and mature trees; all of which add the tranquility of the location. The venue is open to day ticket anglers plus season ticket holders and night fishing is permitted. Also, juniors are encouraged to participate but must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.
The waters are home to a healthy number of Perch, Bream, Tench, Roach and Carp. Moreover, the on-site bailiffs are always on hand to answer any queries.
What size do the fish go to?
Perch, Tench., Bream and Roach generally come in between 3-7lbs. Carp are often caught in double figures, with the largest specimen exceeding 20lbs.
What tactics work well?
Standard still water tactics tend to work well. Furthermore, using a feeder with sweetcorn or worms can be helpful in enticing the larger Carp.
