Frobury Farm has been in the game for the past 20-plus years. This fishing and shooting facility on the Hampshire and Berkshire border is an picturesque location for exploring outdoor sport.
A day ticket complex, this area is jam-packed with 26 acres to explore.
The action starts at the Specimen Lake, the second largest spot on the compound. There are nine swims on this nearly two-acre parcel.
For competitors, Rickety Bridge is the biggest of the match lakes. It is the spot for contest and club bookings.
Lodge Pond is on the smaller side, with plenty of silver and tench in its depths. This lake has been graded to eliminate any of the smaller silver fish.
Twin Island is another match lake, with loads of carp in the reeds.
Top Lake is, as one might expect, the biggest pond at Frobury. It contains significant carp action.
For those so inclined, Oli’s Pond is a small spot with a good mix of fish for a more intimate day on the water.
Finally, Tiddlers on the Top is the newest spot at Frobury Farm. It’s intended for younger anglers, with small fish to present just the right challenge.
What size do the fish go to?
The big boys lie in Specimen Lake, with carp up to 38 pounds and grass carp coming it at 15. Some large rudd and perch also patrol these waters.

What tactics work well?
For fun on Tiddlers, try a simple float apparatus.
More refined fishing is found on Top Lake, where the real sport is near the overhanging trees. The far swims behind the island are best in the summer.
The reeds are abundant at Twin Island, while Lodge Pond is perfect for float fishing in the margins.
What facilities are on site?
Anglers can stop stalking the waters for a little while and practice their shooting at Frobury Farm.
There are toilets on the property, as well as a fully-stocked tackle shop with food and drink.
