Fishery Information
Set in partial woodland, Gabriel’s Fishery is a complex of 5 lakes and a quarter of waterfront along the bank of the River Eden located where the Kent, Surrey and Sussex boarders meet. Water lilies and marginal plants add to the overall beauty of the lakes. If you are looking for an idyllic fishing venue that feature the beauty of nature, this fishery is definitely a must-visit for you.
Please note that you will need a current Environmental Agency Licence in order for you to be allowed to fish at these waters. Only barbless hooks are allowed and each angler can only use up to 2 rods. All fish should be returned to the lakes when they are caught as safely and quickly as possible.
There is a nearby car parking that is within walking distance of the lakes. A shop that sells baits, tackles and refreshments is also available nearby. There are also some flushing toilets installed within easy access of the lakes.
The lakes are available for fishing all year round – 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
What size do the fish go to?
Carp go up to 40 lbs., perch to 4.5 lbs. and chub to 7 lbs.,
What tactics work well?
Boilies, groundbait, maggots, halibut pellets and worms are known to be effective when catching fish. These can be bought from the tackle shop.
What facilities are on site?
Facilities available on site include a tackle shop, a 24-hour bait and tackle vending machine, car parking and flushing toilets. They also offer camping and caravanning facilities and services.

There is car parking within easy walking distance of the lakes.
