Fishery Information
Located in the beautiful surroundings of the Colne Valley, Harefield No 2 provides excellent fishing to the keen Carp angler. The lake is a mature gravel pit with an area that exceeds 45 acres. Furthermore, mature trees that surround the perimeter house numerous birdlife species and offer shelter from the elements.
There are numerous spacious pegs across the set, with several being accessible to disabled anglers. The on-site staff are always ready to answer any queries and aim to make the site welcoming to all.
Interestingly, the site has become a favourite among specialist Bream anglers. Furthermore, there are a selection of Tench, Perch and Carp on offer.
What size do the fish go to?
Carp typically hit double figures, with larger fish exceeding 20lbs. Also, Bream, Tench, Perch and Roach generally weigh between 2 and 7 lbs.
What tactics work well?
Most still water tactics are effective. Also, using a feeder with sweetcorn or worms can entice larger Carp. Finally, angler often utilise pellets and boilies during the summer.
What facilities are on site?
There are several shops, bars, and restaurants within a short distance of the venue. Additionally, clean and accessible toilet facilities are open to visitors.
