Fishery Information
Occupying a tranquil spot n the pretty village of Harescombe, Gloucestershire, Harescombe Fishery is a facility with four fine lakes.
Each of the lakes – named Field, Match, Meadow and Pasture – is well-stocked making this a popular venue with locals and those from further afield.
Harescombe runs frequent matches and is also popular with young anglers looking to improve their skills.
Field Lake is stocked with a good head of carp and many other species, with plentiful silver fish making this popular with anglers at all levels. Match Lake is a purpose built, deliberately featureless lake designed for even odds match fishing.
Meadow Lake offers a large head of double figure carp plus roach and skimmers, while Pasture Lake is the smallest of the four but regarded as having the most challenging carp.
Opening times are currently from 7am to 7pm and visitors for day ticket fishing should check the website for any changes. Night fishing is not permitted at Harescombe Fishery.
Many of the pegs are suitable for disabled persons and wheelchair users.
What size do the fish go to?
The larger carp in Field Lake exceed 20lbs, with other lakes offering large numbers of double-figure carp too.
What facilities are on site?
Harescombe Fishery has a cafe providing hot and cold drinks, crisps and sweets, as well as snacks. The cafe also sells tackle and bait, and has toilet facilities.
Is parking available?
There is plentiful parking at Harescombe Fishery with only a short walk to the lakes required.
