Fishery Information
Regarded as the best top of the water rainbow trout fishery in Cumbria, High Newton Reservoir provides superb sport to the dry fly any time of the year. This 11-acre water is open all year round and available for WADAA members only. This means that day tickets are not available for this fishery.
Fishing on site is allowed from 1 hour before sunrise to 1 hour after sunset. There is a wheelchair, easy access platform and wheelchair access for visitors but should be booked in advance.
What size do the fish go to?
Rainbow trout go to 6 lbs and brown trout go to 4 lbs.
