Fishery Information
Nestled in the beautiful Gloucestershire countryside is Hill View Lakes, a fishery that offers some unusual and exciting waters. Easy to reach from the A38, it is close to the town of Twyning and not far from Tewkesbury.
Covering eight acres, the fishery offers access to five acres of waters. These consist of two lakes – Moorhen and Heron – and a series of four canals. There are many pegs at Hill View Lakes with some dedicated disabled pegs on the two lakes where parking is close to these pegs.
The lakes are both rectangular with a central island, and each is home to a good head of carp. There is plenty of vegetation on the banks providing ample cover for anglers who like to fish close to the shore.
Each lake is well-stocked with a good head of carp, many exceeding 20lb. The lakes are also home to good sizes of bream, rudd, tench and silver fish. The canals also hold plenty of carp stock into double figures as well as good sized roach, while the back two canals are especially popular for tench.
There is a well-stocked bait shop on site, and for those seeking a fishing holiday there are a series of chalets that can be booked within the grounds.
What size do the fish go to?
Carp in excess of 20lbs have been caught on the Moorhen and Heron Lakes, with other coarse fish of good sizes on all waters.
What tactics work well?
Meat, worm, corn, pellet and castors are successful on all the waters.
What facilities are on site?
There is a bait shop on site as well as an outlet for refreshments and male and female toilet facilities. The lakes offer disabled access and dedicated pegs.
Is parking available?
There is plenty of parking at the fishery.
