Dovecote Lake, the Washpit, Bombhole Pit, Hithcocks Lake, Daisleys Lake, and 2,000 yards of river are all part of the Willington complex. Hithcocks Lake, located in Bedford, received an additional stocking of over 300 Priory fisheries Carp to supplement the existing stock. Additionally, there are reports of roaches, tench, pikes, and perch in the fishery. The Blunham and District Angling Club is responsible for the management of the lake.
What size do the fish go to?
The fish are doing well with some weighing over 20 pounds.
What tactics work well?
Given that the main attraction is Carp, pack boilies, bread, worms, corn and sweetcorn, and some maggots. Dead and Jiggly bait will be helpful if you want to catch other species of fish as well.
