Holyfield Fishery Carp Lakes is located at Waltham Abbey, Essex. The fishery is famous among Anglers for Coarse fishing.
The Fishery houses three lakes – Top Lake, Bottom Lake, Match Lake.
Bottom Lake is a 4 acre specimen Carp Lake. Stocks of Carp, Tench found here.
Top Lake has two islands and is a member only Lake and is for over 18′ only. Stocks of Carp, Tench are found here.
Match Lake is a one-acre lake with 12 Swims. Stocked with Roach, Rudd, Bream, Perch, Carp and Tench. The lake is for beginners and experienced Anglers.
No bread or dog biscuit allowed
What size do the fish go to?
Bottom Lake – Carp up to 36lbs, Tench up to 8lbs, Bream up to 14lbs, Ghost carp up to 19lbs.
Top Lake – Carp up to 15lbs.
What tactics work well?
Bottom Lake – Surface Fishing only allowed using trout pellet or pop ups.
Top Lake – Many of the fish are caught at the surface during Summer.
