The Horseshoe Lake Fishing and Caravan Site is a two-acre park located in an orchard near Forge Road in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. The site has five pitches, electricity hookups, a shower, and toilet facilities, among other amenities that make your fishing seamless. This hidden treasure set in an idyllic setting adjacent to both Gullivers Valley and Rother Valley Country Park is well stocked with a variety of fish species, and it provides a good number of easily accessible pegs that even for anglers with disabilities.
What size do the fish go to?
The lake contains a healthy population of fish, many of which can grow to be double their original size, and grass carp that can reach 20 pounds or more.
What tactics work well?
Even though there are some restrictions on the types of bait t use (no sweetcorn, luncheon meat, boilies, etc.), you can still good catches by pole fishing using worms.
