Fishery Information
Hunters Lodge Fishery is a complex that consists of four lakes, each suited for various types of anglers. For example, three of the lakes are specimen Carp lakes (Kingfisher, Kestrel, and Willows Lake), while the final one is a Silver fish lake that contains a wide variety of small- to medium-sized fish.
Speaking of fish, let’s take a look at the stock: Carp, Ide, Bream, Rudd, Roach, Chub, and Tench (across all the four lakes).
Nearby, anglers can find the Hunters Lodge which has a tackle shop where they can finish the preparations for the day – or night – to come. That’s right, night fishing is allowed as well, but requires a permit. Speaking of permits, only members of the Kelvedon and District Angling Association club are allowed to fish here.
Last but not least, it’s worth mentioning that the location is more than just beautiful, with fields on one side and a forest on the other, not far away. At the same time, the lakes are lined with scarce trees that provide essential shadowing.
