Fishery Information

An ideal location to relax in West Scotland, Inverawe Fisheries sits at the foot of Ben Cruachan, surrounded by beech and oak woods, with breathtaking views of the River Awe into Glen Lonan. It has four separate trout lochs and two Salmon Beats, all very different from one another with their unique personality and appeal. All are within easy walking distance of the shop and frequently stocked with prime Rainbow trout that put up a good fight.

Hugo’s Lochan, located just below the shop, is restricted to beginners only. Because there aren’t any trees in the way, casting is easy, and as a result, many people have developed a passion for fishing that lasts a lifetime. Because it is stocked with smaller fish, you can be sure that you will have a fun day of sport fishing. On this loch, beginning anglers can take part in fishing classes.

The Hydro Loch is designed to look like a beach, complete with a hole in the middle and a pebble bottom. It is free of trees, making it ideal for direct fishing, and performs exceptionally well on windy days.

The Inverawe Loch is the resident loch that overlooks the Inverawe House. It has a peat bottom, consistent depth, and some trees, making it an excellent spot for intermediate anglers to fish. The Inverawe Loch is very well-liked by the residents of the area.

The Lily Loch is an excellent location for stalking and is best suited for anglers with more experience. The bottom of this original fishing pond comprises peat and gravel, and its depths range from shallow to deep. In addition to the rainbow trout stocked, it is also home to a few brown trout that are pretty small.
