Islandderry Fishery
Islandderry Fishery is a fly and bait fishery that offers two lakes for anglers to enjoy – the natural 12-acre Islandderry Lake and the smaller, man-made Hollow Springs Lake. The fishery is well known for its strong fighting rainbow and blue trout, which can weigh up to 25 lbs.

Summer: Everyday 9:00 am to dusk
Winter: Everyday 9:00 am to 4:00/5:00 pm.
Fishing Methods and Catches
Islandderry Lake is a fly fishing only lake where anglers can fish from boats or the bank for trout up to 25 lbs. The Hollow Springs Lake allows both fly and bait fishing from the bank, with trout up to 15 lbs.
Some popular flies at Islandderry Fishery include small dry flies, olive buzzers, and bloodworms. Fish are often caught on the top and just below the surface. The fishery has seen numerous notable catches, with anglers releasing many rainbows during their visits.
Competitions and Events
Islandderry Fishery hosts competitions and events, such as the annual All Night Competition and BBQ, where anglers fish from 7 pm to 7 am the next day. The entry fee for this event is £30, which includes 3 fish C&R, BBQ, and the chance to win cash prizes.
