The two lakes that make up Jubilee Pools are at Ryton on Dunsmore, located just outside of Coventry. The Island Pool is the bigger of the two lakes, and it features over 40 pegs, including pegs designed specifically for anglers with disabilities. In addition to carp, the stock also includes mirrors, commons, specimen bream, and tench. In recent years, Jubilee has established a reputation as one of the top bream waters in the Midlands. In addition to bream, there are enormous shoals of roach, perch, and crucians.
What size do the fish go to?
Mirrors and commons can weigh more than 30 pounds, in addition to a large quantity of doubles and twenty-pounders.
What tactics work well?
There are many different kinds of bait, but the most successful ones include sweetcorn, maggots, and soft pellets. The use of groundbait is permitted, but only in moderation. The direction in which the wind is blowing can be helpful in locating fish. When fishing, it is often effective to cast into the wind.
