Fishery Information
This is a uniquely named fishery and I actually had to google what “kia ora” means. It actually means hello in New Zealand.
The fishery has 2 ponds, named silver pond and gold pond which are set in peaceful, countryside surroundings with plenty of trees and vegetation.
Gold Pond
Gold is the bigger lake at roughly 2 acres in size with several islands. In terms of fisheries, its actually fairly new as it was only built in 2000 by Exeter Angling Club with depths ranging from 2ft to 6ft.
The carp in here go to 20lb but it’s also well-stocked with crucian carp, tench, f1 carp, bream and perch. The stocking here is quite high and due to that, it’s quite an easy fishery to catch fish.
The angling club recommend simple ledger tactics using meat, corn or pellet.
Silver Pond
Silver pond is smaller in size and is only an acre. In the middle, there’s an island that runs across the centre of the lake. Again, simple tactics work best on this lake. The carp are not as big in here and there is plenty of bream, rudd, roach, f1s and carp.
What size do the fish go to?

The best tactics on this lake are simple ones. Fish a simple pole or waggler tactics for the best results. Keep the bait choices simple as well.
