Carp, bream, roach, tench, perch, crucians, rudd, and pike are some of the fish frequently stocked in the two lakes of Killingworth Lake, located in Newcastle Upon Tyne in the North East. In particular, the roach population in the Large Lake does an excellent job of spawning, which contributes to the healthy natural reproduction found there. Tyne Anglers Alliance runs and maintains the waters.
Pike fishing is the only type of fishing prohibited during the closed season implemented on Killingworth Lake. Pike fishing is available from the first of October through the 30th of April of the following year. Day tickets are available at the Killingworth Leisure Centre and White Swan Centre. Access for people using wheelchairs is available along the length of the southern bank of the larger lake.
