Fishery Information
Kingsbury Water Park is a scenic 620-acre country park that provides 12 landscaped fishing lakes that cater to both beginners and experienced anglers. Willows Pool offers free fishing for anglers under the age of 16. Canal Pool, which is a specimen carp water, is available for permit holders only. All the other lakes are available on day ticket basis. Annual permits are also available for this fishery except for Canal Pool.
Gibsons, Cliff Pool South, Causeway, Mill and Pine Pools have easily accessible purpose built pegs for disabled anglers. Parking is available right next to these pegs. Gibsons Pool pegs are accessible via a gate with RADAR key lock.
What size do the fish go to?
Carp go to 20 lbs, roach 2 lbs, tench 6 lbs, roach 3 lbs, bream 8 lbs and pike to 20 lbs.
What tactics work well?
Fishing with groundbait feeders, pole fishing and waggler are among the favourite angler tactics for most pools. Popular baits include worms, caster, red maggots and pinkies.
Pine Pool is best fished with boilies, trout pellets or trout pellet paste, sweet corn, luncheon meat, bread crust and flake or floating crust.
