Kiveton Hall Farm Fisheries is a beautiful fishing venue on the outskirts of Sheffield. There are three lakes to choose from at this venue, all within a short drive from each other. Kiveton Hall Farm Fisheries offers excellent fishing for match anglers and pleasure anglers alike. The match lake can hold 44 anglers. This is the largest lake on site and the most popular one. Don’t worry, though, if you’re the 45th angler to show up, the other two waters still provide a good day’s fishing. The match weights at Kiveton Hall Farm Fisheries are really impressive. Get the tactics right here, and you’ll have a fishing session to remember!
What size do the fish go to?
The largest carp at Kiveton Hall Farm Fisheries are pushing 30lbs. There are also barbel to 6lbs, chub to 5lbs, tench to 4lbs and roach, perch and rudd to good weights too. You can very quickly build a nice weight at this venue, and weights to over 40lbs are fairly common, even on day sessions.
What tactics work well?
These are old lakes that have been heavily fished over the years. So, a solid approach is needed. The carp respond well to maggots and casters. In fact, even carp anglers on the Carp Lake bring a pint or two of maggots with them when fishing here. Fishing in the open water is a good option, but make sure to bait a margin swim too.
