Fishery Information
Knotford Lagoon encompasses a pair of ponds located near Newall, Otley, and Pool, and only a stone’s throw away from Otley Chevin woodland park. The pair of ponds, which range in shape and size from small to large, sit on the banks of the winding river Wharfe.
They offer excellent fishing opportunities and a welcome respite from the rush of everyday life. In addition to coarse fishing, specimen carp angling is also a good fit here. You have a chance of reeling in bream, tench, roach, perch, pike, eel, and carp of a respectable size.
What size do the fish go to?
The majority of carp go to be well into their low twenties, and some can even reach well into high doubles.
What tactics work well?
Fishing is excellent along the banks, which are largely level, and there is lots of space, so anglers can enjoy themselves in peace. Additionally, it does a good job of accommodating novice anglers. The decent features closer to the coast, provide a great alternative for deploying your strategies and discovering something new. You will have lots of opportunities to test your skills from the steep and deep edges, treelines, shrubbery, and growth on the far side.
