Fishery Information
Lake Meadows fishery is more than just a beautiful establishment. Besides the main attraction for anglers, the complex features a swimming pool, skate park, play area, tennis courts, golf courts, and bowls green as well. Basically, it can be considered as the perfect weekend retreat for fishermen and their families. The entire surface area of the complex is roughly 30 acres.
Moving on to the stock of the fishing lake, it consists of the common Carp, Bream, Perch, Roach, Barbel, and Chub. Depending on the weather and time of the year, Pike can also be found here.
There are two available pools in the complex. The lark pool features depths of up to 7 feet deep and has a surface of 1.5 acres. Here, anglers have available a total of 42 pegs. The trush pool, on the other hand, can go as deep as 10 feet, has a surface of almost 1 acre, and features 27 pegs.
What size do the fish go to?
Carp weighs over 24lbs.
Bream around 3lbs.
Pike are of average size.
Roach, Perch, and Bream of average size.
What tactics work well?
For Carp, anglers can’t go wrong with boilies, bread, corn, and even dog biscuits.
For increased depth, the back leading tactic is recommended.
Other species of fish are easily caught with common bait – sweetcorn, meat, maggots, pinkies, and casters.
What facilities are on site?
The complex has all the necessary facilities, including a café.
