Lands End Fishery in Somerset has four lakes in some of the most beautiful surroundings that Somerset has to offer. Lands End may only look like a beautiful place to fish for the day when you arrive, but you will love the surprises in-store at this venue. All four lakes are stocked well with nice fighting fish, and there is a lake at this venue for any anglers of any level.
Whether you fancy catching plenty of silverfish, you can here. If you fancy going for a PB carp, you can here too. You can also target tench and perch here and bag a PB too. As we said, the fishing is surprising here, and really, really fun!
What size do the fish go to?
All of the lakes at Lands End have carp up to 20lbs. All also have silverfish up to a couple of pounds. There are also massive perch in some of the lakes up to 4lbs. Many anglers go to this lake to catch the perch, as there are not many lakes in the UK with such a large concentration of big perch.
What tactics work well?
All of the lakes have a match-style vibe about them, so match tactics are best. Each lake does have an island, and these are well worth fishing to because the fish love to hang around here. However, don’t forget the margins. There are plenty of overhanging trees at this lake where the large fish hang around. Boilies do work on this lake, but so do corn and maggots.

There’s disabled access to the lakes here. There are also toilets, a tackle shop and a cafe.
