Since the Carp Society’s acquisition of the 17 ½- acre Langholme Lake in Haxey, North Lincolnshire, in 2001, they lake have managed it as a 50-man syndicate. It has a stock of approximately 350 fish that are between the ages of thirty and mid-thirty and just recently had an otter fence installed all the way around the lake.
The Carp Society, however, was unable to outbid other interested parties when the lake’s owners, Sibelco, decided to put it up for sale. As a result, the Carp Society was forced to relinquish control of one of the renowned bodies of water on August 4, 2021.
