Fishery Information
Located near Laughton, Lincolnshire, Laughton Ponds (Willowbank Fishery) is an ideal spot for both the beginner and more seasoned angler. The site comprises of 3 ponds, all of which offer a variety of fishing features.
Barometer Ponds is a decent sized lake with around 30 spacious pegs. Furthermore, several of these pegs are fully accessible to the elderly and disabled angler. The water is well stocked with Bream, Tench, Perch, Roach and Carp.
Footpond is a significantly smaller lake. However, it still offers some fantastic fishing. Additionally, there are overhanging trees and steep margins as well as many other features. The site is home to a good number of Perch, Barbel, Rudd, Tench and Carp.
In the Bowl Lake anglers will find significant numbers of Perch, Rudd, Skimmers and Carp. This spot is particularly popular during the summer.
What size do the fish go to?
Carp are frequently landed in double figures, with larger fish going over 20lbs. Also, Barbel are commonly caught between 5 and 10 lbs. Moreover, Perch, Bream, Tench, Rudd and Roach generally come in between 2 and 8lbs.
What tactics work well?
Bread, cured meat and sweetcorn are all popular choices of bait. Furthermore, during the summer months it is helpful to utilise pellets and boilies.
