Situated in Grantham, Lincolnshire, Lavington Lakes Fishery is a beautiful location that offers fantastic fishing to anglers of all abilities. The water is open all year and boasts a variety of fishing features.
Mature trees surround the perimeter, offering shelter from the elements and a home to diverse birdlife. Furthermore, there are numerous spacious swims, many of which offer disabled access. Also, a selection of lily pads and overhanging trees add to the serene atmosphere.
The waters are home to a healthy stock of Bream, Tench, Carp, Rudd and Perch.
Day tickets start from £4, with discounts being offered to juniors, the elderly and disabled anglers.
What size do the fish go to?
Tench, Bream, Rudd and perch generally eight between 3 and 7lbs. Furthermore, Carp are frequently landed in double figures, with larger fish exceeding 20lbs.
What tactics work well?
Standard still water tactics tend to work well. Moreover, utilising pellets during the warmer months is an effective tactic. Additionally, worms, sweetcorn and maggots are all popular choices of bait.
