Lawn Farm Fishery is in the beautiful countryside of Cambridgeshire near Elsworth. There are four well-established fishing lakes on this venue, with fishing for everyone. Whether you want to fish for big beautiful carp or grow a big bag of mixed-species over the day, you can do it at Lawn Farm. Each lake offers something different, but any match anglers will love this venue. It is well-established on the match circuit, and for good reason!
What size do the fish go to?
Willow lake has the largest carp on-site; the carp in this lake go to 30lbs. Crab Tree and Cherry Tree lakes both have carp to about 20lbs. Honeysuckle has carp to 12lbs, this is considered more of a beginners lake, but there is still fun fishing to be had here.
What tactics work well?
Each of the lakes fish a bit differently. However, all of the lakes respond well to a positive approach. This means baiting consistently and regularly usually keeps the action going no matter what species you are fishing for. Pole and waggler fishing are excellent here, but method feeding and ledger fishing are also great. Pellets, corn, maggots and castors with good quality groundbait are all you need for a blinding day’s fishing.
What facilities are on site?
Lawn Farm has a brilliant tackle shop that is open 7 days a week. They stock very popular baits that happen to perform extremely well on all of the lakes. There is also a clean toilet with disabled access and hot and cold snacks and drinks. There is also disabled access to many of the pegs on all of the lakes.
Is parking available?
Yes, parking is available throughout the complex.
