Fishery Information
Leechpool Lake is a one-acre set into the beautiful Wiltshire countryside. As you enjoy the tranquillity of this lake and the surrounding area, you may begin to relax. However, there is plenty of fish to keep you from dozing off on the bank. When fished correctly, this lake can hold a massive mixed bag of quality fish, including carp, bream, roach, rudd, perch and tench. There is also some pike in this lake, according to some locals.
What size do the fish go to?
Well, no one is really sure how big the carp go to in this lake. They are certainly over 20lbs, but they could be a lot bigger now. The bream and tench are also at good weights, and there are some monster perch as well.
What tactics work well?
This is a very silty lake, so light weights are needed to avoid your rig sinking into the silt. Helicopter rigs also work very well for this. All bright bottom baits work well, but corn and meat are the go-to for some locals. A few locals also manage to fish this lake with the method. If you can keep your method from sinking, this could be a devastating tactic on this lake.
What facilities are on site?
Of the 15 pegs on this lake, about half of them have disabled access and allow you to park right behind your peg.
Is parking available?
Parking is available. You can either park behind your peg or in the car park.
