Fishery Information
Situated in stunning surroundings near Merebrow, Southport, Leisure Lakes Fishery offers a great day’s sport to both the novice and more seasoned angler. The site is open for both day and night fishing; night fishing must be pre-booked. Anglers will find that the waters are stocked with a healthy quantity of Carp, Bream, Rudd, Tench and Perch. There is a wide selection of pegs available, with various fishing features and easy disabled access.
Day tickets start from £6 with elderly and junior tickets costing £5. Night fishing permits can be purchased for £20, but pegs have to be pre-booked.
What size do the fish go to?
Bream, Roach, Rudd and Perch are frequently caught in the region of 2-7lbs. Carp tend to be 10-15lbs but can come in as high as 25lbs.
What tactics work well?
Using a feeder with worms or sweetcorn works well for enticing larger Carp. In the warmer months, anglers should consider utilising pellets and boilies.
What facilities are on site?
The venue offers a variety of different facilities. Accommodation is available in the form of a caravan site, which has over 100 pitches. Furthermore, the caravan park has its own laundry rooms, as well as clean and accessible toilet and shower facilities. A warden is always available to answer any queries and to ensure that guests have an enjoyable stay.
