Llyn Bochlwyd is a wild brown trout fishery located below Tryfan and Glyder Fach at an altitude of 555m. The lake contains natural wild brown trout up to ½lb, which are strong fighting fish.
What size do the fish go to?
The brown trout in Llyn Bochlwyd can grow up to ½lb in weight.
What tactics work well?
Anglers should aim for the stream flowing from the lake, which can be seen well to the right of Tryfan. The path alongside the stream is very steep, so wading should only be attempted with extreme caution in the shallows. Bank fishing is a necessity for most of the water, but the club also allows float tubing.
What facilities are on site?

Is parking available?
Parking is available near the start of the path leading to the lake. Accessing this fishery requires a good level of fitness, and even at a medium pace, it can take 40-45 minutes to reach the lake.
