Fishery Information
Known as one of the best top-of-the-water trout fisheries in the United Kingdom, Llyn Brenig Reservoir, located in Wales, has been the site of numerous international matches.
It is stocked with rainbow trout that are raised on site in the cold Llyn Brenig waters, allowing them to adapt fully, earning them the nickname fierce fighters. The only way to fish at Llyn Brenig Reservoir is with a fly, which is best done from a boat. However, you can fly fish from the bank too.
Llyn Brenig is a fantastic place to go pike fishing, whether from a boat or from pegs, starting on 1 November every year. Anglers must make reservations at least one day in advance, and if you are fishing from the shore, you can download a Peg Map to assist you in selecting your preferred fishing peg. If you prefer, you can rent a boat and fish for pike from the Llyn Brenig Lake instead.
