Llyn Eiddew Bach and Llyn Eiddew Mawr are two natural mountain lakes that offer fantastic fishing opportunities for anglers. The track up to the lakes can take between 30-45 minutes, but the stunning mountain views make it well worth the effort.
What size do the fish go to?
Eiddew Fawr, the larger of the two lakes, is home to small trout that typically weigh between 3-4 oz. These trout are known for being free rising, making it an excellent location for beginner anglers or those looking for some fun fishing.
What tactics work well?
As the lakes are relatively small, it is best to use light tackle and fishing techniques such as dry fly fishing or small nymphs. The fish in these lakes are known for being quite active and will readily take a well-presented fly.
What facilities are on site?
As these are natural lakes in a remote mountain location, there are no facilities on site. Anglers are advised to bring any necessary equipment and supplies with them.
Is parking available?
There is no designated parking area, but visitors can park on the side of the track leading up to the lakes. It is important to be mindful of other vehicles and to avoid obstructing the track.
