Located a short distance from Kincraig, a small village a few miles south of Aviemore, is Loch Insh. Anglers, sailors, and paddlers all take pleasure in spending time on this loch. Although the loch does not receive active stocking, there are populations of Brown and Rainbow Trout as well as a small shoal of endangered Arctic Char. Because of the characteristics of the loch, it is a productive fishery for pike. You are welcome to bring your own fishing equipment and fish from the shore or hire one of the fishing boats.

There are always many hungry pike out in Loch Insh, and anglers regularly catch over 30lbs.
