The clay pits that now contain Lonsdale Park’s five lakes date back at least 150 years.  </p> <p>Each of the five lakes has its own unique personality and is home to a diverse array of aquatic life, including carp, tench, roach, pike, chub, perch, and crucians, among other species. From April to October, only residents of Lonsdale Park are allowed to fish in the following five lakes.</p><div id="ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-110" data-inserter-version="2"></div> <p>Lonsdale Lake is a picturesque body of water that spans 4.5 acres, surrounded on all sides by reed beds and water lily beds, making it an angler’s paradise. Mirrors, commons, ghost carp, and grass carp are in plenty here. Others are tench, roach, and perch.</p> <p>The size of Deer Lake’s pool is around 1.5 acres, and it is surrounded by thick trees. It also has roach, chub, perch, and crucians of good grade in addition to monster tench and carp.</p> <p>The specimen angler will find their ideal conditions in Reed Mere. It is a former nature reserve that spans an area of two and a half acres and contains specimen carp in addition to tench, perch, roach, huge pike, and catfish.</p><div id="ezoic-pub-ad-placeholder-111" data-inserter-version="2"></div> <p>Arches Lake is a beautiful two-acre lake that is abundant with features. It offers great carp and tench fishing, with the typical carp measuring in the high doubles and a number of commons and mirrors. In addition to that, there are a few magnificent specimens of perch, roach, and pike.</p> <p>The smallest of the bodies of water in Lonsdale Park is Birch Pool.
