Lough Gara is a lake located in Counties Sligo and Roscommon, Ireland. It spans about four miles from north to south, with the widest section measuring approximately two and a half miles. The lake lies southwest of the Curlew Mountains and is mainly situated in south County Sligo, with a smaller part extending into County Roscommon. Water is supplied to the lake by the Lung River and the Breedoge River, and the outflow is through the northeastern corner at Cuppanagh, forming the Boyle River.

The lake is known for its diverse fishery, including coarse fish and pike. It also offers various recreational activities such as rowing, kayaking, open water swimming, sailing, SUP (Stand-Up Paddleboarding), and waterskiing.
