Muckno Lake, also known as Lough Muckno, is a freshwater lake located in the northeast of Ireland, near Castleblayney in County Monaghan. The lake covers an area of 325 hectares and has depths of up to 20m. It offers excellent fishing opportunities and is home to various fish species, including European perch, common roach, common bream, gudgeon, northern pike, and the critically endangered European eel.
