Fishery Information

Situated in Roanhead, Cumbria, Lower Ormsgill Reservoir is a coarse fishery that is ideal for the keen Carp angler. The waters boast a variety of fishing features, including reeds and overhanging trees. Furthermore, the venue is accessible for the disabled and juniors are also encouraged to attend, but must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

The waters are home to a variety of Perch, Bream, Rudd, Roach, Tench and Carp. Membership starts at £50 for adults, with discounts being offered for juniors, OAP’s and the disabled.

What size do the fish go to?

Perch, Bream, Rudd and Tench tend to weigh between 2-7lbs. Carp are frequently caught in double figures, with the larger fish getting up to 20lbs.

What tactics work well?

Using pole and Waggler tactics is extremely effective during the warmer months. Also, anglers should utilise a feeder with sweetcorn or worms as well as pellets and boilies.

What facilities are on site?

Clean and accessible toilet facilities are open to guests.
