Located in the small village of Marbury, Marbury Meres consists of 5 meres that are regarded as important wildlife habitats. The Quoisley Big Mere found on site is controlled by the Prince Albert Angling Society.
The Quoisley Meres, both Big and Little, have nutrient-rich waters. Both meres as well as fringing reed beds and surrounding damp grassland are known as a Site of Special Scientific Interest and have also been designated Wetlands of International Importance. These form an important habitant for both birds and invertebrates.
