Fishery Information
Formerly known as the Brick Pond, Edlington, Martinwells Lake Fishery is home to a 40-peg lake that boasts a breathtaking view. Maintained by a group of volunteers living within the community, called Friends of Martinwell Lake, this lake is a perfect spot if you are looking for a place to enjoy the open countryside. Even if you don’t catch fish, you will surely enjoy the beauty of this fishery.
Martinwells Lake Fishery is located within walking distance to the developed old railway line that now forms part of the National Cycle Way. This route is perfect for cycling and long walks through peaceful countryside.
This lake is well-stocked with bream, carp, chubb, F1, perch, pike, roach and tench. It is also rich with pond life, wildlife, and a healthy bird population. A good variety of wild flowers can also be found within the site.
There are day tickets, permits and concessions available from the water bailiff. Children under 16 years of age are allowed on site as long as they are accompanied by adults. Night fishing is not allowed in this fishery.
