Mill Lodge is a 2.5-acre lake located on Lurgan Road, Dromore, Co. Down. The car park can be found on the right-hand side after the bridge. The lake features numerous islands and overgrown margins, with an average depth of 5-6 feet. It contains some weed, providing an interesting challenge for anglers. Mill Lodge is home to a variety of fish species, including carp, Perch, Roach, Eels, Gudgeon, Tench, and Trout.
What size do the fish go to?
Mill Lodge has approximately 150-250 carp, with the lake record standing at 29 lbs 12 oz. There are around six carp over 20 lbs, and the average size of carp is 7 lbs. Other fish species present include Perch, Roach, Eels, Gudgeon, Tench, and Trout, which can reach specimen size.
What tactics work well?
Using good quality boilies and pellets works well at Mill Lodge. These can be purchased from the on-site shop.
