Controlled by the Hoyland Angling Club, Milton Pond is a great venue if you are looking to catch 20-lb carp. There are 2 separate ponds on site and every peg has a small number of trees and reeds. The smaller pond is home to stunning silverfish and can be fished by anglers under 16 years of age. Open all year round, both waters hold rudd, roach up to 5 lbs, carp to over 25 lbs, tench to 5 lbs and bream to over 6 lbs.

Carp go to over 25 lbs, roach to 5 lbs, tench to 5 lbs and bream to 6 lbs.
What tactics work well?
Roach respond well to maggot, caster and worm. Pole fishing and open ended feeder method work well for both ponds. Other popular baits include sweet corn, bronze or red maggot, bread crumb and cherry ground bait.
