Known for its reputation of having big, great quality fish, Motorway Pond holds carp that weigh up to 30 lbs. This water produced the Yorkshire carp record fish of 42 lbs 8 oz in 1999.
Other fish species present in this 18-acre water include bream to 12 lbs, tench to over 9 lbs, pike to over 30 lbs, chub, rudd, crucian carp, roach to 2 lbs, perch to over 2 lbs, eel and catfish.
This venue is close to the M62 Motorway, at Newport, East Yorkshire. Access though Newport village, via Thimblehall Lane or Canalside West.

Good parking is available at several points around the pond, but please do not obstruct access. There is a secure car park with toilet facilities and access to this is via Thimblehall lane. A combinaiton will be supplied with annual membership.
