Fishery Information
Situated in Maidstone, Kent, Mousehole Lakes is a tranquil 9-acre fishery which includes two specimen lakes and one match lake.
Kestrel lake is a 1.5-acre site which offers a healthy stock of Carp. 6 swims are available for party bookings. For individual bookings, only 4 swims are available at any given time.
Kingfisher lake is a specimen lake spanning over 3.5 acres. The area offers 17 large swims, all compacted with bark chippings and providing a generous amount of space. The setting boasts a healthy stock of Carp, as well as a range of other species, including Perch.
Swift lake is a smaller stretch of water, offering 11 swim platforms in total. The spot is ideal for the novice angler and offers a range of species including Roach, Bream, Perch and Carp.
What size do the fish go to?
Carp in 20lb region are caught with frequency, with the record currently standing at 38lbs. In the smaller Swift lake, carp reach up to 10lbs and there are also ample Perch available in the 5lbs region.
What tactics work well?
Using a feeder with sweetcorn or worms can be advantageous. In the warmer months, using pellets and boilies may help to entice the larger carp.
What facilities are on site?
There are a range of facilities for both the day fisher and the overnight angler. These include a canteen that provides home cooked meals, a rest room area with 24-hour vending machines, and newly built toilet and shower facilities.
