The Beeches, Skerne, Driffield, East Yorkshire YO25 9HP, United KingdomFishery Information
Mulberry-Whin is over one mile of Double Bank Chalkstream fishing and is a part of the “Driffield West Beck,” a nationally renowned and exclusive stream. Located at the foot of the Yorkshire Wolds, it flows through S.S.S.I grassland. The river receives its spring water supply from many smaller streams and chalk aquifers, giving it the characteristically clear appearance of a pristine chalk stream.
In addition to a healthy population of wild trout, the Mulberry-Whin possesses a significant quantity of grayling that weigh three pounds or more on average. They are easily discernible whether they are motionless, moving over clear gravel beds or navigating between the many swaying fronds of weed in the beautiful clear water.
The location is ideal for the discerning angler, thanks to the breathtaking scenery and the vast array of different fishing conditions found here. However, the only option for fishing is to purchase a day ticket and make reservations.
