Fishery Information
There are 6 ponds at Newbarn Farm, which means there is something to suit everyone.
If it’s carp you are after then try Mirror Lake. This lake is 1.25 acres in size and has an island in the middle. Fish near the island if you can for the best results.
3 smaller ponds called Island, Rosie and Lulu are the ones nearest the car park. These lakes are stuffed full of fish and will suit the angler who wants to catch a lot of fish as they are easy to catch on.
Willow lake is smaller again at a third of an acre but is mainly stocked with small carp.
Lily Lake is small at 0.25 acres and has a lot of bream and tench in here.
The accommodation is great value for money here and there are 8 different options. Each has its own charm.
What size do the fish go to?
We couldn’t find any information about what size the fish go up to. The biggest carp are in Mirror Lake.
What tactics work well?
Maggots and casters work really well here. There is also plenty of cover for the fish in the margins, so we recommend trying down in the margins to catch the bigger fish.
What facilities are on-site?
There is a full fishing shop on-site to get everything you need.
Is parking available?
Yes, parking is not an issue.
