One of Scotland’s most picturesque trout fisheries, Newhaylie Fishing Loch, is located on a hillside of 3.6 acres and offers views of the Isles of Bute and Arran in addition to the Cumbrae Islands. The depth of the Fishing Loch ranges from 2 feet to 18 feet, with the average depth falling between 5 and 8 feet.
Along with its natural population of wild Brown Trout, it has other hard-fighting trout, including Rainbow, Blue, Tiger, and Brown Trout. Disabled anglers can fish in a significant portion of the loch, and the helpful staff is always on hand to offer assistance or even provide helpful fishing advice.

In the upper portion of the Loch, anglers use both fly fishing and bait fishing. In the shallows, floating lines do the best, while intermediate lines get the best results off the dam wall.
