The good news is that fishing on this lake is free as its in the middle of Newsham Park. There are 2 lakes at this venue which is set in the middle of the park which means that access to both lakes is easy. The depth is about 4ft and you can have a good days fishing using basic methods at either of these lakes.
What size do the fish go to?
There are Pike to 25lb but rumour has it that most of these were taken out a few years ago. The carp go to over 25lb and there’s some big tench to be caught up to 7lb.

There are no facilities on site as its in the middle of a town.

There is a small car park at the park or you can park on the road in nearby housing estates.
