Wormit, Newport-on-Tay, Fife DD6 8RL, United KingdomFishery Information
The Newton Farm Trout Fishery is a small stillwater located on the south bank of the Tay Estuary, to the south of the community of Wormit. It covers approximately 5 acres, has a depth of around 6 meters, and offers excellent fishing at 23 different pegs.
The water is clear, and the setting is in a picturesque location, surrounded by cultivated grass, trees, and extensive boundaries of rushes and reeds. It is stocked weekly with rainbows, and blues. There is a good head of wild browns too.
The pond has an irregular oval shape, and a structure in the middle that takes up the form of an island divides it into two halves. In most locations, the water has an excellent depth, practically up to the bank, which means you will see fish near the shore. If you do not quietly approach them, they will also see you.
Even though there are trees and bushes surrounding the lake in most spots, there is plenty of space to cast your line.
