Located in a tranquil location in the Northumberland countryside, North Tyne offers a 5.5 mile stretch of pristine Trout fishing. The venue offers numerous fishing features as well as an array of pools. The mature trees that run adjacent to the site provide shelter and also home various birdlife species.
The waters are notorious for housing a selection of healthy Trout species. Additionally, Salmon of a healthy size are landed with frequency.
The setting is not far from the main road, therefore is easily accessible. Anglers of all abilities will find the river to be pleasing, and elderly anglers should not have too much trouble accessing the waters.
What size do the fish go to?
Brown and Rainbow Trout typically weight between 8 and 12lbs. The larger species can reach as high as 16lbs. Also, it is not uncommon to land salmon on this stretch. They generally weigh around 10lbs, with the larger specimen getting closer to 20lbs
What tactics work well?
Small minnows are extremely effective in enticing the larger fish. Spinners, crankbaits and jigs also work very well too.
