Fishery Information
Ringwood & District Anglers Association is in charge of the management and maintenance of Northfield Lake, located in Ringwood, Hampshire. The lake covers an area of about 25 acres and has depths of up to 14 feet. It is fed by springs and is typically clear.
Northfield Lake is primarily a fishery for specialists, but it does provide recreational anglers with opportunities for good sport. However it is a members only fishery with no closed fishing season. Carp, catfish, tench, bream, roach, and rudd are some of the high-quality fish species found in the lake.
What size do the fish go to?
Carp (over 35lb), Catfish (over 60lb), Tench (over 8lb), Bream (over 13lb) along with Roach and Rudd to over 2lb.
What tactics work well?
High-quality method feeder that produces large catches of tench and bream; however, you should be prepared to catch carp as well, so do not fish too light.
